Mr. James Yearty from Swainsboro Technical College visited Jospeh O'Neal's Engineering & Technology classes at Swainsboro High School last week to talk about STC's Computer Numerical Control (CNC) program. Students learned that the CNC program would teach them to set up and operate various computer-controlled and mechanically controlled machine tools to produce precision metal parts, instruments, and tools. Many companies in our area have expressed a need for trained CNC operators. Hands-on training learned in Mr. O'Neal's Engineering & Technology classes and Mr. Yearty's CNC classes would help our students gain the skills and training required to fill this need.
